According to Merriam Webster the definition of human right is: rights (such as freedom from unlawful imprisonment, torture, and execution) regarded as belonging fundamentally to all persons.

The Human Rights Union feels that the definition according to Merriam Webster is acceptable under the current governing bodies because it is inline with the ruling authorities. By drafting a vague and neutral definition the reader is not empowered by the Furthermore, its attempt at identifying fundamental rights was misleading and a purposeful attempt at alluding the reader from the acknowledgment of the true essential basic needs of life.

According to the Human Rights Union, human rights are the inalienable rights to resources and activities associate with procurement and production of basic needs adequate for healthy living. Basic needs are those elements necessary for human survival including food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, education, defense, and environment.
